World Environment Day 2021

World Environment Day

World Environment Day is celebrated per year on June 5. Today, people are informed through many programs to protect nature and not to play with it.

World Environment Day 2021: World Environment Day is celebrated every year on June 5. The aim is to increase people’s awareness of the environment and keep the environment safe. Various programs are organized to inform people nowadays. With these programs, people know about planting trees, protecting trees, not cutting green trees, the purit rivers, and playing nature.

Today’s celebration began here.

Although the UN celebrated World Environment Day in 1972, it celebrated it worldwide on June 5, 1974, in Stockholm’s Swedish capital. The Environment Conference was held today and was attended by 119 countries. The UN Environment Program was formed at this conference and decided to celebrate Environment Day every year on June 5. The conference was held from 5 to June 16. Today’s slogan was “Only one country” (“Only one country”).

This is this year’s theme.

Each year, the theme of World Environment Day is determined. This time, the theme of 2021, “Restoring Ecosystems”, is set to celebrate this day. Today’s programs are based on this topic. Restoring an ecosystem can be done in many ways, such as planting trees, preparing and protecting gardens, cleaning up rivers. The theme of World Environment Day 2020 is “Biodiversity” in 2019 “Air Pollution”, and before that, in 2018, its theme was “Beat Plastic Pollution”.
